Wishlist Wednesday #9

Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Pen to Paper where we tell you about a book that is currently on our wishlist that we are excited for!

This week on Geraldine's Wishlist:

Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher:
Zoe has an unconventional pen pal-Mr. Stuart Harris, a Texas Death Row inmate and convicted murderer. But then again, Zoe has an unconventional story to tell. A story about how she fell for two brothers, betrayed one of them, and killed the other.

Hidden away in her backyard shed in the middle of the night with a jam sandwich in one hand and a pen in the other, Zoe gives a voice to her heart and her fears after months of silence. Mr. Harris may never respond to Zoe's letters, but at least somebody will know her story-somebody who knows what it's like to kill a person you love. Only through her unusual confession can Zoe hope to atone for her mistakes that have torn lives apart, and work to put her own life back together again.

Rising literary star Annabel Pitcher pens a captivating second novel, rich with her distinctive balance between humor and heart. Annabel explores the themes of first love, guilt, and grief, introducing a character with a witty voice and true emotional resonance

I've heard amazing things about My Sister Lives on the Mantlepiece and I had no idea that these two books were written by the same author! Just from reading the summary, you can already guess that this book is going to be nothing less than amazing as well! Personally, I enjoy watching shows and reading about death row, murders, etc...so I know I'm going to love this book!

This book has been on my wishlist for so long, but unfortunately it won't be available in the US until November *screams* NO! Until then, I'll be anxiously waiting!

  4. A unknown book by an author I've never heard before. That's what I like about WW, the countless discoveries. :-) The blurb sounds intruiging, so I might pick up this book somewhere on the way. Oh, btw, I just had a look online and a paperback version will be available on Bookdepository on July 1, just in case you can't wait until November :-) Thanks for sharing, I hope you'll get to read it soon.

My WW can be found on Le Chat de Bibliothèque.
