Wishlist Wednesday #6

10:37 PM

Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Pen to Paper where we tell you about a book that is currently on our wishlist(s) that we are excited for!

This week on Phil's Wishlist:

All her world’s a stage.

Bertie Shakespeare Smith is not an actress, yet she lives in a theater.

She’s not an orphan, but she has no parents.

She knows every part, but she has no lines of her own.

That is, until now.

Enter Stage Right

NATE. Dashing pirate. Will do anything to protect Bertie.

COBWEB, MOTH, MUSTARD SEED, and PEASEBLOSSOM. Four tiny and incredibly annoying fairies. BERTIE’S sidekicks.

ARIEL. Seductive air spirit and Bertie’s weakness. The symbol of impending doom.

BERTIE. Our heroine.

Welcome to the Théâtre Illuminata, where the actors of every play ever written can be found behind the curtain. They were born to play their parts, and are bound to the Théâtre by The Book—an ancient and magical tome of scripts. Bertie is not one of them, but they are her family—and she is about to lose them all and the only home she has ever known. (Goodreads.com)

I am a huge sucker for painted book covers, so it comes as no surprise that this book was immediate cover appeal. Then once I read the synopsis I had been sold! One of my favorite books of all time is A Midsummer Nights Dream, so to hear that there are references, as well as some of the same characters, as in A Midsummer Nights Dream, I knew I needed to get my hands on this book!Eventually,  when I do pick up this book , I also look forward to seeing what other characters from famous plays are in it as well, as well as seeing how they interact with one another. I mean how cool would it be to see Macbeth having a conversation with Blanche Dubois from  A Streetcar Named Desire?!?!?! This could easily become one of my favorite books of all time, and I look forward to picking it up VERY soon!
