My Thoughts:

The cover of this book was what immediately drew me in. I still cannot get over how cool the cover is! It's one of those holographic covers and it changes from a normal looking teacher to the man pictured above (pretty scary huh?). I have not read a middle grade book in a while, so when I first went into this, I had no intentions of being hooked. Well, It turns out I was wrong, because I got hooked right away and breezed through this book!

We instantly get to know the main characters from the very beginning. Robert was the most lovable character and we see how his friendship with Glenn unravels. Even though Glenn was Robert's long time bully at the beginning, I was happy to see them become inseparable Also, there was Karina who added some mystery and made me question a couple of events throughout the book. We then join them in an action packed adventure where very strange things happen (that's all I can say because you'll have to read to find out what I mean by "strange").

I loved how the story easily flowed and yet you never knew what to expect next! I also enjoyed the pictures throughout the book, they really added to the storyline (even though some of them were pretty creepy). I also enjoyed the plot and the writing style that the author used, because it kept me turning the page and wanting more!

This was a great start to the series and I can't wait to read the second book, The Slither Sisters. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a quick, fun read :)!
