The year is 1453 and all signs point to it being the end of the world. Forced to face the greatest fears of the dark ages—witchcraft, werewolves, madness—Luca and Isolde embark on a search for truth, their own destinies, and even love as they take the unknown ways to the real historical figure who defends the boundaries of Christendom and holds the secrets of the Order of Darkness.
Can we just take a second and appreciate the fact that we have been doing Wishlist Wednesday for 26 weeks?! Where has the time gone!? It is absolute insanity, but besides that, this book looks awesome. Just from reading the synopsis it seems like a book I would pick up, but from my friend Alyssa, I have heard really good things about this author as well, making me want to pick it up more. Now that the covers have been changed I want to buy it even more too, because the old cover was terrible. As a side note the sequel came out recently too! Hope I get it soon!

I've never read anything by Philippa Gregory but have seen some great reviews of her work. This sounds really good. I've read some historical fiction and really enjoyed them so will definitely check this out.

Interesting! I've read some of Philippa Gregory's historical novels, but this one sounds like a real change for her. I think I'll check it out too!
